Jimi Meyers was born in San Antonio, Texas.  Being the eldest of four girls and the daughter of a pilot and wonderful homemaker, she had a heart for adventure and children.  At the age of 9 she accepted Christ as her personal savior while living in Puyallup, Washington.  She grew up with the excitement of living in many different areas of the Pacific Northwest and was exposed to the world being “her backyard” – anything was possible! 

Jimi was introduced to her husband, Troy in 1993.  They were married in June one year later.  They lived in Washington and at the Oregon Coast before they moved to Idaho.  When looking for a church home, they had struggled to find a “fit”.  After many months of searching and praying they asked God to send them where they could serve and be used.  They found Broadway Avenue Baptist Church two weeks later.  Jimi has been involved with the children’s ministry for 5 years as a teacher and in 2006 she became the Director of Children’s Ministry. 

Teaching her two boys to be tender warriors is one of the greatest adventures she’s enjoyed.  

Jimi loves working in Children’s Ministry and her joy is helping children realize how truly loved they are by God.
