Dear Members and Friends of Bridgepoint,

“Therefore by Him, let us continually offer up the sacrifice of praise to God,

that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.”

Hebrews 13:15

As we look back on 2008, we have much to be thankful for. God continues to pour out His mercy, grace, and love

upon us. It is His name that is worthy of our praise. Any and all of the blessings shared in this report are a result of

what God is doing in the hearts of people. It is our privilege to partner with God and each other to accomplish His

purposes in the Treasure Valley and around the world.

This last year certainly had its challenges and changes. The national and local economic realities impacted many

individuals, our community, and our church. Through the challenges of the past year, and the challenges that 2009

will bring, God has and will continue to remain faithful. Our hope is not in a political or economic systems, our hope is

in God who is in control of all circumstances.

I am very thankful for all of you. Once again, 2008 brought about a lot of change. Your willingness to be stretched

and challenged, to show maturity in difficult decisions, makes it an honor and joy to be your Pastor. You have

followed the Apostle Paul’s example as he wrote:

“I, too, try to please everyone in everything I do. I don’t just do what is best for me; I do what is best

for others so that many may be saved. And you should imitate me, just as I imitate Christ.”

I Corinthians 10:33-11:1 (NLT)

As a result, lives have been changed for eternity. Multitudes of people have heard about and accepted God’s love as

demonstrated on Calvary. Your investment continues to produce results that will only be fully known when we get to

heaven. 2009 will see us continue to share the Gospel, support missionaries, disciple Christians, and give

opportunities to use our gifts and abilities to serve our community and church. Our purpose remains the same:

“To love God, to love people where they are, and help them follow Jesus.”

I believe that 2009 has the potential to be our greatest year yet. Your prayers, faithfulness, investment, and love for

the Lord and people will help make it possible.
