Troy was born and raised in Vancouver, Washington where at the tender age of nine accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior. Immediately following High School Troy began working in the hotel industry. He continued working in hotels for nearly twenty years where he eventually earned the position of General Manager.

Shortly after his profession brought him and his family to the great state of Idaho they began attending Broadway Avenue Baptist Church. At the encouragement of his wife, Jimi, they started volunteering in the Children’s Ministry. Little did he know the surprise that lay ahead of him.

In 2007 God opened the door to a full time ministry position of Family Pastor here at Broadway. After much prayer and consideration Troy resigned his position with Hyatt Hotels and joined the pastoral staff. He says that he now is helping people secure their reservations for the greatest resort ever.

Being raised by parents who divorced, Troy has a real passion for healthy marriages and families. He understands some of the challenges that face parents today as he and his wife are raising two boys, Colton and Luke.
